We get hungry... we get thirsty... we go out... and this is what it was like.
Speaking from experience, we know that people who like to go out, love to eat. And if you're like us, you don't mind paying a little more for superior quality and service. But in times like today we need to save money at times too. Here are some tasty reviews/comments/suggestions of stuff we stuffed ourselves with. Some of our favorite restaurants and other food and drink stuff
Where do you get breakfast for $2.14 with free wireless and free drink refills??? Ok it's not gourmet it's Mc Donald's and this one is in Miramar Beach. You can get your choice of a sausage biscuit or breakfast burrito and a sweet tea. I always get mustard with my biscuit and a refill on my tea. In the fall and winter you will find the "snowbirds" hanging out there every morning too. You'll hear some great stories and make some new friends. Also if you are a "high roller" you can get a egg mc muffin or bacon egg and cheese biscuit with coffee or mocha frappe. Shoot me a message on Facebook and I'll meet you there.
Who wants free cookies, bear claws, danish, scones, and even bagels??? Here is a late night treat I'll share with you. Everyone has been to Panera Bread for breakfast for bagels or for a "pick two" for lunch. But the real treat is to be there working on your computer when they are about to close. On some nights they get rid of all of their baked goods, not because they are bad but because they will not be as fresh in the morning. If you are as lucky as I have been you'll get a bear claw or cookie which makes a yummy treat for breakfast or before bed. I love Panera Bread!
Fat Daddy's Pizza ~ Every day from 11 - 2:30 you can watch tv and eat all of the pizza, salad, sweet tea, and/or soft drinks (I'm drinking a Mello Yellow right now). I was in the South Walton location where the hard working men and women eat. I don't know how I got in but I'm good. Lots of the area's lawn care companies, construction guys, traveling salespeople, tourist families, and even police officers dine here. I usually start with a piece of pizza and a side of salad lightly drizzled with ranch dressing. I get a cold drink and turn on the computer to"work" while I am eating. You can watch the big screen tvs that have ESPN on them or just ask for the clicker and you can watch what you want. You can order pizza for delivery or pick-up here too. And for the beer drinkers they have $1 Miller Lite and $2 Corona Extra all day everyday!

You have arrived..... The Famous Red Bar in Grayton Beach. One of the favorites spots among locals and tourists, this restaurant is the perfect mix of eclectic memorabilia museum, jazz bar, family restaurant or a night out with friends. The atmosphere in here is truly something else, you cant leave without going. Delicious food accompanied with cocktails, doesn't get any better than this after a day in the sun. Reservations are not accepted, neither are credit cards. www.theredbar.com

The morning just got sweeter... I went to the Starbucks in front of Silver Sands Outlet for breakfast, you know "my other office". When I walk up to the line I felt someone looking at me, I look to my left and see Jamie from Marry Me at the Beach smiling. We say hey to each other with a hug and then I get back in line for breakfast. Now look back at the photo and you will see the last bite of my chocolate chip banana nut bread breakfast. nom nom nom... Too hot for hot drink so I'm chillin' with ice water. Let the day continue being this good. |
